Bonjour et Au Revoir, Paris

While the Air Canada pod is wonderful, the plan to arrive in Paris bright eyed and bushy taled did not happen. This is not a criticism of Air Canada, the set-up is fabulous. Rather, it's just a reflection on how much I need "bed and rest"

Maggie's Air Iceland flight was arriving a few hours after we landed, so we hung out at Charles de Gaulle Airport so we that we could travel to the hotel together. Getting to the New Hotel Lafayete, we went to our separate rooms for a few minutes of shut-eye. My room is a cute space.

And, the view is sweet.

A short nap and it is time for something to eat. Alas, while we are on "supper time", Paris is on "happy hour". So, "when in Rome...". And an Aperol Spritz to start and end the day.

Tomorrow, it is another day. Not just any day but the day we head to St. Jean Pied de Port.

Today was 11,365 steps. Each one closer to the Camino de Santiago.
