Stepping Up

Martin Luther King said "You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” 

Since arriving in Paris last Saturday, we have each clocked about 150 thousand steps. 

Those steps have given us a fleeting view of Paris, a day to get acclimated in St Jean Pied de Port;

through the Pyranees;

Roncesvalles, where we stayed at the Monastery;

Kathy's birthday which was celebrated and challenged with a gruelling, steep descent landing us in Zubiri - only to discover an amazing Albergue with fabulous food and great company.

Today we are in Pamplona.

There are many pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela, making accomodations difficult to find. But, that's just another step in our journey.
